Netherlands - Amsterdam 01.08.07
After arriving in London and still having a pocket full of cash what better way to spend some of it by heading to Amsterdam. I was lucky enough to have my oldest cousin Emma Kaye living there with her husband Jerome at the time in a mint as aparment so I scored myself a mint bedroom for the 4 nights I was there.
Amsterdam was a real eye opener as it was the first place I had ever been where the local language wasn't english. The first train I got on from the airport to Emma's apartment all I could smell was super strong marijuana and I thought to myself welcome to Amsterdam boy!!
I checked out all of Amsterdams tourist attractions in one day on a bike tour which involved a cheese factory, clog factory, famous old dutch windmill and plenty of canals. Emma took me out for dinner a couple of times and to a comedy show which you can imagine was a real laugh in Amsterdam and for the rest of the time I made sure I sampled plenty of Amsterdam delights ;)
