France - Paris 13.08.11
Paris the city of romance, what better way to visit the place than with my French girlfriend!
After a long overnight flight from KL we had arrived and had one day to spend looking around before flying down to Toulouse the following morning.
First stop was Aurelies best friends house/loft apartment in the centre of Paris. Albane and I picked up some French delicacies for lunch which we scoffed down quickly before heading to the very famous Versailles Palace.
Walking around the Versailles Palace Gardens really was breath taking, the most beautifully organised gardens, 300+ year old monuments and water fountain displays every step of the way. These were by far the most incredible well kept gardens I have ever seen. It took us 4-5 hours to walk around most of the gardens and by the time we had finished we were to late to walk through the Palace itself, will have to do it next time.
With our legs starting to get tired there was still one more must see stop the Eiffel Tower which I just had to get a photo of with Aurelie. Mission completed time for a yummy dinner at a traditional French restaurant before sleeping the night away.
On our way back to Perth we had one more night in Paris catching up with Albane and her husband over dinner. We tried getting tickets to the Moulin Rouge show last minute and missed out so instead ended up going to The Lido another cabaret show which to me was a very well dressed titty show.
