France - Paris 03.09.08
I left London on the Eurostar train (which travels up to 186mph) to Paris and with 2 albums down on the ipod I had arrived in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
On my first day I checked out Sacre Cour and the Moulin Rouge (not the show unfortunately way to expensive) by this time I was nackered but the magnificent Eiffel Tower in the horizon lewered me in. A few underground metro trains and I was on the otherside of town standing beneath the solid 325m tower at night in all its glory. At 10pm 20,000 white lights started flashing on and off with dark blue spotlights as the main colour absolutely stunning.
Second day, George arrived and we started the day with a walking tour around France soaking up all of Paris's history and tourist attractions. After a long day walking around we thought why not walk some more but this time with drinks in hand and go on a pub crawl around Paris, god knows how we managed to get home that night without getting a cab speaking the little French we could in a complete slurred drunken state to find out directions back to the hostel from locals!
Third day, I talked George in to getting up early and checking out Les Catacombes which was a bit creepy but a real eye opener and in the afternoon George convinced me to pick my nuts up and catch the lift all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Unfotunately it was cloudy and the amazing views were not as good as what they could of been. At night we checked out The Lourve/Mona Lisa and had a couple of pints at the Hostel before saying our goodbyes. Next day it was time to head to the surfing capital of Europe Biarritz for some beach action.
